About Macbeth
Macbeth is Shakespeare's shortest tragedy, it tells the tail of a Scottish general named Macbeth who receives a Prophecy from a trio of witches that one day he will become the King of Scotland. Consumed with ambition and encouraged by the influence of his wife, Macbeth murders King Duncan and takes the throne for himself.
